All-out glamour, drama and expensive tastes: if that sounds like you (even if your budget is actually small), then you’ll drool over this tiny, perfect, luxe bedroom from RSVP Design Services. What makes it work? The limited color scheme, the reflections from the mirrors and metallics, and the lack of clutter. Perfect.

Four bunk beds line a wall of the kids’ room in this stone house in Luberon. The paired back design of the house is made playful here with polka-dot walls (and matching bed colourful soft toys and a tiger rug.
I would describe this bedroom as ‘cosy contemporary’ and it’s the sort of space I could relax in at the end of a busy day. It is fairly minimalist, but not as stark as a white or grey bedroom, with an on trend geo pattern and a soft colour palette, with some warmth from the brass lamp and wooden side table. I also love the white painted floor boards and think it is a look that could be quite easy to re-create. Image credit
I adore these room ideas for young girls. Some are for a little younger girl but my favorite has to be the one with the Audrey Hepburn picture on the wall. Its trendy, flirty, and girly. These ideas are so different I could see many personalities being able to shine through with them.

Juggling the demands of a growing family and an interior-design business, Nicole Salvesen updated her south London house to increase the feeling of space with bright colours and more streamlined rooms. Bed quilts from Molly Mahon add colour in Nicole’s daughters’ bedroom.
Faringdon House in Oxfordshire was once home to ‘the mad boy’ Lord Berners, the inspiration for Lord Merlin in Nancy Mitford’s The Pursuit of Love. Now in the hands of his descendant Sofka Zinovieff, the character and eccentricity of the home and its history is lovingly preserved.
Bring a redundant fireplace up to scratch for the party season by lining it with wallpaper. Simply take the dimensions of the inside of your fireplace, cut out the wallpaper to fit and Blu-Tac it into place. A few ornamental logs, tea lights or strategically placed baubles also help achieve this festive look.
A dressing room or walk-in wardrobe is the ultimate luxury in a bedroom. It’s best to go bespoke (funds allowing), as an experienced cabinet designer will know how to make the most of every last inch of storage space, incorporating shoe racks, clothes drawers, built-in shelves, hanging rails and more.
For a designer-worthy look, choose a simple color palette of three to four neutral hues and a single, bright accent color like the eye-catching pink in this chic bedroom. Add interest with a variety of bold, trendy patterns and cozy textures like cotton, faux fur, knits, etc.
Colourful and quirky, everything in this room – from the red squiggle wallpaper to the animal print textiles, owl rug and paper hanging mobile – is fun, which is just what a little girl’s room should be.
The chief attraction of this room is the custom made canopy bed. The bed skirt and the frilly pillowcase along with the little step-up stool give a traditional look to the bedroom. The color combination in pink and brown is quite offbeat and amazing. These are examples of classy girls bedroom ideas!
During the initial design stages we find it interesting to focus on one key piece and use its colours, look and feel as a starting point for inspiration – this could be anything from a statement painting to an antique rug. Image credit
What a view! Admittedly, only a lucky few can call an ocean front bedroom their own. However, this bedroom is not just about the view. In my opinion it perfectly interprets what I call the key elements of successful bedroom design: clean lines and uncluttered surfaces in combination with warm materials, rich textures and soothing colours. Add a few pools of light and you got yourself the perfect recipe for a cosy haven of relaxation. In this particular bedroom they took it a further notch up by adding the element of fire, creating a truly harmonious environment and perfect balance. Image credit
White on white is the perfect space for the perfect night’s sleep. Crisp white bed linen, with the softest of pillows and the lightest of duvets. Cosy throws to keep those toes warm in the colder months. Pure and simple paired back detailing to showcase the natural beauty of the walls and floor that frame the space you are in. Uncluttered and calm, a sanctuary from the hectic world outside. Image credit
A charcoal grey paint scheme may not be the first thing that springs to mind when decorating a kids’ room but with accents of yellow and blue and some age-appropriate furniture (this three bed bunk-bed is fantastic) little boys will love it. Also note the inbuilt pockets in the curtains: a sweet way to provide extra storage don’t you think?
After visiting her friend Kathryn Ireland in France’s Tarn region, Anne Halsey bought a French farmhouse retreat there and enlisted the help of the decorator to create a relaxed space perfect for entertaining. Hints of pink add a soft touch a bedroom, in which ‘Toile’ by Kathryn M Ireland was used for the curtains, headboard and footboard; to one side is a free-standing bath.
Mixing rich colours and pattern can be difficult to get right. Dark patterned blue wallpaper ‘The Brook’ from Morris & Co, which pattern continues around the room adds character and a playful feel. The bright ‘Red and Cream Stripe’ wool kilim rug from Sinclair Till lightly compliments the pattern and helps to balance and tie the room together.

The main bedroom in designer Paul de Zwart’s Kensal Rise home cleverly combines decorative details with storage; a chest of drawers built into the alcove is made from the same material as the wall cladding. The two ‘Leggera’ chairs from Giò Ponti add colour.
This girl’s bedroom designed by Petite Vintage Interiors features some must-haves for ultimate fun and style for little ones. Pastel colours are great in children’s bedrooms, mixing pastel colours makes it really easy to achieve a scheme that is soothing and still loads of fun. I love the pink and mint features that stand out in this bedroom! Next, the wall stickers are a great addition. They are easier, quicker and cheaper to use than wallpaper. Little dots, triangles or clouds are just some of the many choices available. Making storage fun is also important by using cleverly shaped side tables and shelves. The house-shaped shelf used as a side table here is a great example. And you’ll score highly on the fun factor! Image Credit
