Make study and homework time more appealing by adding a sleek, grown-up desk to her bedroom. Pretty jars will keep pencils, pens and markers in place and add decorative appeal. Keep the top of the desk cleared off to inspire a welcoming workspace. Design by HGTV fan nu2tn

This cosy bedroom at Soho Farmhouse features green floral wallpaper, creating a countryside feel. Matching curtains form a cosy canopy around the four-poster bed. This design is ideal for a small space.

My recipe for a cool children’s bedroom involves 3 main ingredients: great storage, blackboard paint and amazing lights. I love this room because it works just as well for girls as it does for boys. The rock star/monochrome theme is always age appropriate – very important because in my experience kids grow. Fast! The hip industrial vibe is den-like and softened with tactile furs, comforting checks and a cosy rug. Extra twinkling lights at ceiling height add a bit of fairytale magic and nobody grows out of sleeping under the stars, right? On the other side of this room I’d install a bank of full height cupboards to hide all the cargo that comes with every child and also has a habit of growing with them. Mini rock stars might prefer a cabin bed or bunks and some extra spots and stripes in the form of soft furnishings would provide the X factor for me. We’ve been very (no pun intended) impressed with the quality of furniture at shops like Very.com and Littlewoods of late – don’t dismiss them for good design. This bed (French Kiss) from the latter was reduced to just £184 in the sale. The bed curtains are Yolo Stripe (£14 a metre at John Lewis) while the rug (Lappljung Ruta) is £55 at Ikea.

Well, my sister and I have been sharing bedrooms at two different homes for almost eleven years now, and my mom and stepdad are getting ready to build onto our house, which will give me my own room, of course my sister will bw gwtting a room with a door, a small closet, and one window, while I will be left with our ‘master bedroom’ so I’ll have the bathroom, a wlk in closet, and a two windows, i really want a new, cool design with pretty colors, i’de prefer no pink and purple, and a queen sized bed, though these are all wonderful ideas, my friends don’t have rooms this big, and my ceilings arent that high…do you have any ideas that might fit my room??

If the paste wall damp, aging or just brush the paint, paste may cause the stickers off automatically, or can cause peeling walls, can use a hair dryer hot air drying paint or wall can wait for a peri…

I’m interested in function and beauty in my room; not space age cubicles with a splash of color here and there. Please include rooms that are actually realistic and comfortable. I don’t understand this obsession with doctor’s office style bedrooms…

Just because your space is small does not mean your pieces can’t be large. Use a monochromatic color scheme because it creates an illusion for the eyes. Choose one color family and select variations of it for the largest parts of your rooms. Natural light will also be your friend. Use sheer window treatments or leave them off entirely. Consider furnishings that have multiple purposes. And always, create a space you love!

This mezzanine bedroom wraps around two sides of a small yet modern one room flat belonging to Banda Property CEO, Edo Mapelli Mozzi. The walls are painted a soft, warm off-white – the perfect backdrop for Mozzi’s gorgeous art collection. This choice of colour also adds a certain cosiness to the otherwise minimal scheme.

A large, internal glazed window provides views from the main bedroom into the sitting room and vice versa, while a concealed Venetian blind provides privacy. The bed sits on a 60cm podium, elevating the floor level and allowing access to all the cupboards. It raises the bed to provide views through the internal window across the sitting room to the leafy square that is at the front of the house and the window that overlooks the rear of the building.

All our high quality vinyl girl wall stickers are completely reusable and are perfect for temporary decoration. When your little princess feels like a change, simply remove the decals and move to another room or store them away on their original backing sheet.

This gorgeous girl’s room has hand painted, full room mural with wooden floors. The atmosphere in this room is enough to give wings to the imagination to your little fairy. I won’t be surprised to find her in the land of ‘Sleeping Beauty’, fast asleep in the garden, waiting for her prince. The traditional bed and the furniture enhance the mystic feel of the atmosphere.

In this bedroom in Morocco, a large Twenties French poster hung above the low-level bed acts as an extension of the headboard. For similar vintage posters of this size, head to Rennies Seaside Modern in Kent, or visit its online shop.

The concrete floors and exposed brick painted in white may create a cool warehouse feel but the nonchalantly styled books and pictures, as well as the texured bedding and soft throws keep the scheme from being sterile.
