WoW! The bedroom by Samantha Pynn is incredible and perfect for us. I got married couple of weeks ago and we’re moving next month to our new apartment. So I was looking for special bedroom decoration ideas and got the perfect one!

Calling all small space dwellers! Big city apartments, vintage home layouts, and modern space downsizing all call for design that expands the possibilities of small. If you need a bedroom makeover but don’t think you have enough bedroom to work with, you’re in the right place. We’ve got some lovely small bedroom ideas to prove small spaces can be stylish.

Your bedroom shouldn’t just be the place where you sleep. Ideally, the space should feel like somewhere you want to spend your free time. One easy way to achieve that is by adding a seating area that you can use when you don’t feel like lounging in bed.

There are two ways to organize a small bedroom: You can make it dark and cozy with saturated berry reds or chocolate browns. Or, you can boost daylight with barely dressed windows and a light-bouncing color on the wall, such as cloud white or sunshine yellow. Either way, don’t take a weak approach. You can be bold in a small space without risking too much money or effort.

As with any seating area, it’s important to identify which function it will fulfill. If you like to curl up with a good book, place a stately armchair next to a bookcase. If you’re all about catching up on your favorite shows, look for a loveseat or daybed that will give you room to stretch out.

No princess will simply have her toys in a regular bin, so you need to make it special. A pink bird’s nest is a cute and cool functional and decorative idea that is not too difficult to bring to life. source.

A net of interlocking ribbons attached to blank walls is a great way to display your favorite photos, postcards or other paper memorabilia. Plus, the art can be switched out at any time to suit changing moods, styles or tastes.

This room has a beautiful vintage/industrial style. A bedroom to me is a place to rest and to surround myself with calmness. This needs to be reflected in the decor. Nothing should draw too much attention. It needs to be laid back, full of natural materials, casual and cosy.

Whether you go for a moody hue or stick to a crisp pale shade, adding plenty of light sources is key to keeping the room from feeling dark and claustrophobic. “Decorative overhead lighting like a pendant or chandelier (instead of ceiling cans), bedside table lamps, a floor lamp, and even reading sconces will add to the ambience,” he says. “Like Andy Warhol said, ‘I believe in low lights and trick mirrors.’

Yes, even if your bedroom is small, you can still have a wow-inducing accent wall, as proven so strikingly here by Décor Gold Designs. Bold wallpaper has a place even in the tiniest of rooms. Just stick with one wall – preferably the one at the head of your bed – and keep the rest of the room sedate in terms of color and pattern.

There’s no denying that many little girls love all things pink, but that doesn’t mean a girl’s room has to look like a bubblegum factory. The bedroom from Steele Street Studios shown here demonstrates how well neutrals can work in a girl’s bedroom. The wonderful lighting fixture, fun pennant banner, and polka dot bedding add just enough whimsy to the space, yet the overall look is rather sophisticated.

This art piece is very impressive, and with good reason. If you can’t find one that is already made, all you need is a frame, pearls of different sizes, a template and lots of patience. It’s worth it in the end though. source.

Your first step is to select an underlying color palette for the main elements of the room (walls, rug, furniture) that is gender neutral…and, if they’re old enough to chime in, that each sibling gives the thumbs up. Color combos such as white and grey, turquoise and white or a mix of primary colors work well for both boys and girls.

Personally I like a child’s room not to have a theme, instead adding decorative touches, so that they can grow with the room. I tend to always steer towards bright pastels and pattern for children, I think it brightens a room and makes them feel clean but cool at the same time. The photo shows a beautiful bedroom for a little girl. I love how it is totally neutral whilst colourful – this room could happily be for a girl or boy of any age. My top picks for a children’s room would always be second-hand furniture painted in beautiful colours, bright simple bed linen, key timeless decorative pieces that can be passed down, photos or artwork to reflect their personalities and loads of storage. Keep yourself on track each day with a cool alarm or wall clock in your room. Match the colors of your clock to the colors in your bedding to instantly tie the entire room together. Or, pick a silver, white, black or gold clock to give your room a jeweled appearance. Set out a mini-fridge near your study zone, and you’ve instantly created a cozy learning corner that will encourage you to keep studying.

Bedroom Decorating http://studio-5.financialcontent.com/mi.miamiherald/news/read/35871325 For Girls, Your little girl is grown up, and began to feel that she wants to decorate her bedroom with new ideas and styles that express her personality, and individualism. Sure, you want now to redecorate your bedroom for your girl. You don’t need to make all-change in your girl’s bedroom decorating ideas, you can only make some simple changes in her bedroom decorations, as to replace some pieces of furniture, to change color paints or to change the used themes and accessories, such as new lamps or lampshades, trays on dressers for holding make up and hair accessories. Ask your girl about the changes and decorating ideas that she wants in her bedroom, she may want to have some childhood decorating ideas, or she may want something more teen girls’ ideas and styles, such as sheets sets with more funky decorating designs.

If you need more storage space for your clothing, but don’t have room for a piece of free-standing furniture, consider installing a built-in dresser. Not handy enough to tackle the task? No problem! Carpenters typically charge between $25-$35 an hour and hiring a professional will ensure the job gets done right and that you have heaps of hidden storage, too. Photo courtesy of Camila Pavone.

  1. Shoe horning three children into one bedroom is no mean feat and to pull it off this stylishly is quite a challenge. Three boys inhabit this small room; each has his own super cool platform bed suspended from ropes at differing levels, an individual wall light and artworks adorning their space. A colour palette of earthy grey looks wonderful teamed with natural wood and uplifting warm yellow. Every bed is identically dressed in crisp white linen and highlighted with a textural grey blanket and accented yellow cushion. Each child has an equal portion of the room so sharing should be a joy and not a trial. In fact, I can quite imagine these boys enjoying bed swapping every night! My top tips would be that when furnishing a small room, limit your palette of colours and materials – using too many will visually clutter a room and make it feel much smaller. The adage “less is more” is so true! Also, wall mounting furniture makes a room feel bigger – it’s all about being able to see under and around things that tricks the eye into thinking a space is bigger than it really is. Image Credit
