I’m so glad you could gain an idea or two from my pics! The shelving unit on top of the Trofast is another shelf from IKEA. I don’t remember which system it was from but I bet if you look at an IKEA or on their site you could find it. It was an add on shelf that I thought would work perfectly there from storing some of their larger items. My girls have adjusted to having their own space. They really like it. Though most Friday nights you will find them having a slumber party with their sister. ?

A gauzy, ceiling-hung canopy is a nice touch to a girl’s bedroom decor. Not only does it give this twin bed princesslike appeal, it also adds interesting height to the corner of the room. Simple, casual furnishings in neutral hues allow your little girl’s decorating style to change easily as she grows. Clever storage space below the bed make clean-up after play time a breeze and teach her the values of organization.
Hitting the books might be a chore, but in a room as fun as this, homework time just might get a little easier. A large desk and office chair, with storage bins beneath, create a work zone. But when it’s time for fun, ample seating, a fun color scheme, and whimsical touches turn this room into a space for giggling with friends.
I decided to give the smaller room to my older daughter, Snowflake. My younger daughter, Pumpkin, got the larger room. When my older daughter was younger she had some major issues with the bigger room and wouldn’t even go in that room alone. It was a whole big deal, we had some concerns that some of that may resurface. We also felt that she is at an age where her ‘toys’ are getting smaller and she doesn’t need as much space for her things and room to play on the floor. My younger daughter has quite a few larger toys and still loves plenty of room to play. She got the larger room. Like I said, I’m still not sure we made the right choice, but http://voiceofkl.com/news/overstock-clearance-sale-company-stockclearanceguru-celebrates-successful-launch/0052164/ is done for now.
[…] knew we needed additional storage in the smaller room when we moved our girls into their own rooms. I also was on a budget. I came up with the idea to buy 3 IKEA Expedits and make a shelving unit […]
Don’t forget to add some life to your space. “There’s no reason houseplants should be kept out of the bedroom—I’ve even used potted indoor trees in small rooms,” he says. “Having something vertical like a fig tree can bring the eye up. Plants can make a stuffy room feel fresh, too.”
