WoW! The bedroom by Samantha Pynn is incredible and perfect for us. I got married couple of weeks ago and we’re moving next month to our new apartment. So I was looking for special bedroom decoration ideas and got the perfect one!
Anna Potter’s bedroom is everything that I look for in a place to sleep. Warm, calm, welcoming and homely. The dark grey walls and bed linen have a sense of calm, like a gentle hug, welcoming you to bed. The oversized vintage map above adds a sense of drama and no need for a headboard. The room is filled with history, a hand-me-down chest of draws, holiday souvenirs, and the owners own artwork on the walls. A vintage, comfortable and stylish space. I could sleep there quite happily. Image credit

It’s always so nice to refresh your space in little ways. You did such a good job. I love what you’ve done with the room in general. I’m actually obsessed with palette headboards my boyfriend is in the process of making us a smaller one, but repurposing it into a bed frame was a great idea. It looks awesome.

Butter yellow curtains are a pretty complement to whimsical gray floral wallpaper in this designer space. Bamboo Roman shades set behind the curtains add visual depth to the design, while a blanket and throw pillows add layers of pattern and color.
I love everything about this bedroom. It’s simplicity and minimalistic approach is what’s really appealing. Those white wooden floorboards are just totally divine and make the room so bright and airy. I just love a room that has white walls and flooring because it is the perfect backdrop for adding colourful accessories. For me it also gives a sense of tranquillity. Let’s not forget to mention the hanging light bulb, such a beautiful and simple feature. What I am also lusting after is the clothes rail. Having your clothes out on show gives it a feminine touch to your room and feels very Carrie Bradshaw – just to need to make sure to be super tidy! Image credit
An entire room filled with bright color is too much intensity for a tiny space, but when you use a few hot shots of eye-catching color to heat up neutrals or classic black-and-white, the temperature is just right.
Storage is key in small spaces, especially in the bedroom where most of your belongings are kept. When you don’t have a lot of space, you have to be creative with your storage. For example, you can use under-bed storage boxes to stash out-of-season clothing away and custom shelving to store things like shoes and books. You can even place a storage ottoman at the foot of your bed for extra seating and storage.
Bedrooms should be calming and seductive spaces, and this bedroom ticks both those boxes. It has a calming, neutral pallet that is kept interesting through a mix of textures – wooden floors and ceiling, the white-painted brick wall, a sisal rug, a glamorous fur throw, and the marble bedside table. The painted black wall adds another layer of luxury and glamour to this space, but the large, simple artwork keeps it from being too dark. Interest to this monotone colour scheme is also brought in through the architectural style of lighting, and the pattern in the cushions. All in all a perfect combination! Image credit
Wonderful post! I love the ideas of personalizing the bedroom. The design was very creative and unique. I should try to be creative by customizing my stuffs in my bedroom without spending much money. Hoping for more great post!
Although your bedroom color scheme is often a personal opinion, there are some paint colors that are more relaxing and better suited for your sleeping area. Studies have found that people with blue bedrooms often get more sleep because of the calmness it elicits. Brighter colors may lead to a better mood, but they also might keep you up longer at night. If you have a significant other with opposing tastes, consider master bedroom colors falling within the neutral range — such as variations of green, gray or brown — to keep everyone happy. Sharing many bedroom pictures that you’ve saved to your ideabook can be a great way to help your significant other get a sense of http://themorningherald.com/news/overstock-clearance-sale-company-stockclearanceguru-celebrates-successful-launch/0052164/ bedroom remodeling ideas.
I’m interested in function and beauty in my room; not space age cubicles with a splash of color here and there. Please include rooms that are actually realistic and comfortable. I don’t understand this obsession with doctor’s office style bedrooms…
I’ve tried looking on the website where the image was originally published but unfortunately I can’t see what this paint is called or where it’s from, I’m so sorry. I hope you can find a close match soon!

This dresser area is all about Disney’s Aladdin with its rich purple and gold tones as well as little statue and hanging decorations. Using pretty gold necklaces as curtain ties will add a different touch, enhance the theme and obviously keep the mirror visible. homeliteracyblueprint.
Moody, masculine & deliciously unconventional, Scott Newkirk’s New York bedroom is my idea of the perfect retreat. I love the way he has skilfully coupled a restrained & muted palette with a medley of textural layers from metal & woods to linen, wool & length-upon-length of natural burlap. He has created a surprisingly luxurious getaway which is both atmospheric & calming. Image credit
For girls who like a subtle vintage/ classic country style, the shabby chic bedroom is a winning option. Sit ditsy florals and mix-and-match furniture in front of a wall hung with your teen’s personal gallery, and finish with quirky vintage accents, such as a tailor’s dummy (which doubles up as a clothes horse!).
Your bed should always be the focal point of your bedroom, and in small rooms, the best way to make it the focal point is to place it in the center of the room’s most visible wall (usually the wall that faces you when you’re standing in the doorway). This way you will have enough room to access your bed from both sides, and if your room is large enough, you can even place nightstands on either side of the bed.
I’m a huge fan of simple and functional Scandinavian style with a monochrome and neutral colour palette. This bedroom is quite minimalist, but at the same time has everything you need to relax. I prefer all white bedding (linen bedding is my favourite!) which is in this bedroom combined with some black pillowcases to add contrast against the white wall. I love to bring some warmth into the monochrome interior by adding natural materials (like wood) and also green plants – both of which have been used in this bedroom. Image credit
Proper wall art is vital to every space, but it may be even more important in bedrooms where there are typically fewer design elements to add visual interest. Whenever possible, use wall décor to anchor each of the distinct function areas in your space, such as above the bed, beside some seating and in the dressing space. Then, add other artwork to any walls that feel too blank.

Daybeds are constantly a preferred hit with women of all ages due to the fact that they give easy seats space during the day and a comfortable area to relax at night. Trundle daybeds additionally give room for all those slumber parties she makes sure to via the years, without taking up beneficial floor area. A clean white or neutral base is ideal for teenage bedrooms, as it offers the opportunity to chop and change the look as quickly as teenage tastes and styles do! Opt for classic white furniture with a slender profile, as this will help reduce the sense of clutter. However, this sunny, pretty space is really all about the accessories; a bold bloom bedspread, hot pink accents, soft pastel lamps and prints and a tactile sheepskin throw on the chair ensure this space is modern and still playful.
