Floral patterns are always a favourite of mine for a feminine look and the brighter the colours the better. The look is a little bit granny chic so suits my love of hunting for eclectic items in charity shops. Even on a dull day this bedroom would cheer me up. Image credit
I all honesty, I don’t see how this is supposed to help make the most out of a small room. First of all, they just look like normal bedrooms. And anyay, I guess it’s not what I googled for. I don’t need to make my small space LOOK bigger. For what? I need it to feel functionally bigger, since I can’t actually have it bigger.
We tried having one fall asleep in our room, then moving them when we went to bed. It went like that for a long time. I finally just decided it was dumb to keep having them sleep in our room and that they needed their own rooms. It was a good choice. My girls are still close and we now have kids who get sleep and can function during the day. Yay!
Bed is chanting my name tonight. Chet is cutting all four back molars and that results in a very tired household. Plus we had to say goodbye to daddy this morning and drive him to the airport at crazy-o-clock Also congratulations to Eve and the

There are many different steps to decorating a kids room that begin with deciding on a theme and end with choosing what color you wish to adorn the walls with. Obviously you have multiple choices for decorating the walls of your childs bedroom, however the two most popular options are wallpaper and paint. While wallpaper comes in a wide variety of colors, patterns, and textures, it tends to be a much more tedious process with more permanent results. Removing it takes a lot of time and effort, and can also damage your walls. Paint, on the other hand, does not take a lot of time to apply and can easily become a do it yourself project. Plus, as cartoon characters and games become more popular, companies are creating paint colors for girls room that are based off of popular kids shows such as Dora the Explorer and toy brands like Fischer Price. Paint a bright pink and purple girls room that has wall decals of Swiper and Boots or choose a more subtle green that is found in the popular baby brand Luv U Zoo.

The top of the desk can hold a large spread of beauty accouterments as well as books, a laptop, and a notebook for study time. Gray’s sedate vibe makes it especially good for the bedroom. But when decorating with gray, be sure to add plenty of interest to keep the look lovely, not grim. Take a few tips from the gorgeous room from Jean Stephane Beauchamp Design shown here; a strong area rug, an intriguing ceiling fixture, a luxurious velvet upholstered headboard, and a touch of fun in the skull-adorned throw pillow guarantee that this entirely-gray-and-white master bedroom is anything but boring.
A black and white colour scheme isn’t usually associated with kids’ rooms but, if your daughter’s not a girly-girl, a monochrome palette, accessorised with bright hues in green or red, is a great alternative to pinks.
Bold window panels boast a flower pattern that includes lots of bright pink in this girl’s room idea. The custom coverlet’s red embroidery has a refined look that can stay with the room’s pre-kindergarten resident until she reaches college age. A queen-size bed with a custom-designed headboard fills the large area between a closet and dresser on one wall and built-in bookcases and window seats across the room.
Shoe horning three children into one bedroom is no mean feat and to pull it off this stylishly is quite a challenge. Three boys inhabit this small room; each has his own super cool platform bed suspended from ropes at differing levels, an individual wall light and artworks adorning their space. A colour palette of earthy grey looks wonderful teamed with natural wood and uplifting warm yellow. Every bed is identically dressed in crisp white linen and highlighted with a textural grey blanket and accented yellow cushion. Each child has an equal portion of the room so sharing should be a joy and not a trial. In fact, I can quite imagine these boys enjoying bed swapping every night! My top tips would be that when furnishing a small room, limit your palette of colours and materials – using too many will visually clutter a room and make it feel much smaller. The adage “less is more” is so true! Also, wall mounting furniture makes a room feel bigger – it’s all about being able to see under and around things that tricks the eye into thinking a space is bigger than it really is. Image Credit
“Hanging drapery as close to the ceiling as possible is a design trick that actually works,” Humphrey says. “It’ll bring the eye up. While we’re at it, a good trick for picking curtains is to match the fabric to the wall color. It’s modern and can be nice in a smaller space, because your eye won’t be distracted by contrasting colors.”

This townhouse was designed for a collector and we wanted to ensure that every room particularly the bedroom remained elegant and classic while providing a backdrop for the magnificent collection of works of art and antiques. The antique carpet provided us with the initial inspiration for the colour scheme of the bedroom; we chose to echo its green tones throughout the room from the walls to details and furnishings like the cushions.
Now onto Pumpkin’s room. As is glaringly obvious, we patched the holes in the walls and need to paint. This wall used to have my Grandma’s desk and at one time my treadmill. Now it has Pumpkin’s dresser and bed.
