I have seen this image come up on my Pinterest feed a few times in the past and have always thought I would love to be lying in that bed reading a good book! I love the contrast of black and white and think it’s a clever decision to have the fur on the end of the bed so it warms up the rest of the scheme. The artwork is oversized but not overpowering and I am always drawn to a simple colour palette- in this case it’s black, white and brown with a touch of gold. It’s simple, elegant and beautiful. An entire room filled with bright color is too much intensity for a tiny space, but when you use a few hot shots of eye-catching color to heat up neutrals or classic black-and-white, the temperature is just right.
Your bed should always be the focal point of your bedroom, and in small rooms, the best way to make it the focal point is to place it in the center of the room’s most visible wall (usually the wall that faces you when you’re standing in the doorway). This way you will have enough room to access your bed from both sides, and if your room is large enough, you can even place nightstands on either side of the bed.
We love this look because of the fresh take on what could potentially be a period interior. The yellow wall brings it bang up-to-date, freshening the space and bringing the whole room to life. The antique touches of mismatched frames, the oversized wooden bed, stripped back floorboards and the old chandelier contrast perfectly with the statement wall giving it oodles of character. The picture rail breaks up the room giving it plenty of height but the patchwork quilt, rug and cushions keep the room cosy. Image credit

This dresser area is all about Disney’s Aladdin with its rich purple and gold tones as well as little statue and hanging decorations. Using pretty gold necklaces as curtain ties will add a different touch, enhance the theme and obviously keep the mirror visible. homeliteracyblueprint.

As with any seating area, it’s important to identify which function it will fulfill. If you like to curl up with a good book, place a stately armchair next to a bookcase. If you’re all about catching up on your favorite shows, look for a loveseat or daybed that will give you room to stretch out.
Thanks! Yes, they have worked. They both stayed on no problem as well as could be moved if needed. It was really nice. I’ve since sold the Trofasts as my girls have moved toward older girls rooms. ? Hope you find something that will work for you. ?

This is a gorgeous example of a modern bohemian bedroom, achieving a relaxed and simple yet cosy atmosphere. I love how the dark navy walls finish just shy of the ceiling, adding the sense of height and drama with the fabulous pendant over the bed. A hanging rattan chair with sheepskin looks like a perfect place to swing on whilst reading your papers in the morning with a coffee, and THAT giant fig leaf tree adds a powerful punch of green, and the all important link to nature. Emphasize a soaring ceiling with a showstopping theme. In this playful room, alternating stripes of sky and baby blues creates a tentlike ceiling treatment. A fun theme like this makes room for cool beds for girls. A classic four-poster bed has long-lasting style, while freestanding furniture—such as the desk, chair, and bookshelf—can be replaced or upcycled as she grows older.
Make study and homework time more appealing by adding a sleek, grown-up desk to her bedroom. Pretty jars will keep pencils, pens and markers in place and add decorative appeal. Keep the top of the desk cleared off to inspire a welcoming workspace. Design by HGTV fan nu2tn
Making the most of the vertical space in a small bedroom is an excellent way to keep things neat and organized. Floating shelves will hold a multitude of books and magazines. Small buckets and baskets, hanging on mountable rods, will provide extra space for little, miscellaneous items. Photo courtesy of Camila Pavone.

The bedroom is a place when you should be able to relax, rest and sleep well. The space therefore should be simple, clean and uncluttered. Ban all the unnecessary items and focus on the essentials – comfy pillows, soft bedding, good light for reading, and small bedside table to keep your books and water carafe. Create a space where you can rest your eyes and calm your mind, and it means white walls and no busy patterns. I am drawn to this bedroom because of the colour palette – all in soft brown tones. There is a feeling of calm and the crumpled linen looks very inviting. The only decoration it needs is a single artwork on the wall. The beauty here is in simplicity. Image credit
