This has to be one of my favorite  DIY bedroom decorating ideas for teens because it is so much fun to make, and always turns out beautiful. This creative statement for your room is hard to mess up. Follow the step by step video tutorial to learn how to make Sharpie watercolor pillows.

The main bedroom, with its en suite bathroom, is one of designer Nicholas Spencer’s great triumphs in terms of use of space in this Holland Park flat. The bed is positioned on one side of this division, facing the window, meaning the owners can lie in bed and watch the sun set. The walls are dressed in Fromental wallpaper, ‘Butterflies’, while a coloured handblown glass pendant light, ‘Spindle Shade’ (£475) from Rothschild & Bickers adds a shot of colour.

Anna Valentine’s eponymous clothing label is desired for the quality of its designs and the attention to detail – attributes that the couturier has also employed in the renovation of her London flat and atelier.

If there’s one thing that makes a bedroom, it’s soft bedding you can see yourself burrowing into. Get that right, then add a striking pendant light and statement nightstand for a look that’s the epitome of effortless style.

The main bedroom in designer Paul de Zwart’s Kensal Rise home cleverly combines decorative details with storage; a chest of drawers built into the alcove is made from the same material as the wall cladding. The two ‘Leggera’ chairs from Giò Ponti add colour.

The chief attraction of this room is the custom made canopy bed. The bed skirt and the frilly pillowcase along with the little step-up stool give a traditional look to the bedroom. The color combination in pink and brown is quite offbeat and amazing. These are examples of classy girls bedroom ideas!

Being a teen girl myself, I have to say this is not realistic whatsoever. I don’t know about all the other girls, but I would have liked something WITHOUT having to go out and buy everything new. That’s just my opinion, some of these were great to dream about..but not all of us could afford this.

Light grey walls and a gallery wall above the bed – step inside the elegant bedroom of our location editor. Soft colours carefully combined with playful accessories add character to the space in Lavinia Bolton’s Chelsea flat – an object lesson in unassuming good taste, as well as testament to her own creativity and enterprise.

Small rooms require savvy storage solutions, so here Ursula Wesselingh of Room to Bloom has avoided free-standing furniture and made use of the alcoves. The bed, drawers and shelves are painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Breakfast Room Green’ to unify the scheme.

There’s a few things that are key to how you feel when you walk into your bedroom – mainly it comes down to floors, walls, furniture and decoration. If you’re renting you may not be able to touch the floors or walls and will have to work with what you have. If it’s your own house however, you may be wondering which colour to paint the walls so they go with your floors, or so you can make a small bedroom appear bigger. Pay attention to these elements in photos.

This bedroom is striking to me. It surprises you…such a delicate balance of masculine and feminine. You can’t help but to appreciate the subtle design elements reflected within the context of this modern Asian-inspired scale and colour scheme ~ the mysteriousness of the asymmetrical bookcase, the delicateness in how the objects are placed, and the luxurious feel the dark-on-light furniture gives. I get a sense of warmth but refreshed at the same time. Finally, the artwork chosen seals the sentiment of this overall design composition. Simply put, I love it. Image credit

Coral, turquoise and cream white…all the favorite colors for teens, and they go with each other so well and turn out to be so beautiful in this bedroom. The turquoise patterned wallpaper gives more fresh look and the window seat…Love all these without a reason! via House of Turquoise.

Be bold with pattern mixing in a little girl’s bedroom accessories to create a space with youthful energy. Like in other rooms, keep scale in mind and mix large, small, and medium-scale patterns to achieve balance. In a shared bedroom, repeat the same patterns from bed to bed and create a symmetrical setup.

Create a sweet work station for reading or drawing with a small desk and chair and floor lamp. Upcycle a standard white MDF desk with some paint and wallstickers, or take the easier option and choose this one from online children’s store Vertbaudet.

Wake up an old desk set with a fresh coat of paint, and add in a mirror to create an instant vanity. The top of the desk can hold a large spread of beauty accouterments as well as books, a laptop, and a notebook for study time. Add a few final touches by reupholstering the chair and decorating with girly accents.

We discovered Room to Bloom’s clever cupboard bed via The List – House & Garden’s new online directory (find out more here). The bed is an ideal solution for an awkward small space – in this case, a long, narrow room interrupted by a staircase. It is built around the stair, and has ample storage for toys and books thanks to under-bed drawers, a bookcase and internal shelving.

The addition of a large basement extension to this Edwardian house with bright, modern interiors freed up space on the upper floors for bright and capacious rooms, and created a more fluid layout ideal for family living.

In this Paris flat, London-based designer Tara Craig has used a strong, simple palette with devastating effect. The walls of the spare bedroom are painted in ‘Papaver’ by Adam Bray for Papers and Paints, with an imposing ‘Carlyle’ headboard from Ensemblier London upholstered in ‘Serpetti’ linen by Martyn Lawrence Bullard.
