It’s always so nice to refresh your space in little ways. You did such a good job. I love what you’ve done with the room in general. I’m actually obsessed with palette headboards my boyfriend is in the process of making us a smaller one, but repurposing it into a bed frame was a great idea. It looks awesome.
By choosing fabrics and furnishings in luxurious styles and textures, designer Judith Balis crafted an ultra-glam room that’s both timeless and on trend. To keep the chic side tables from becoming cluttered, she opted for stylish hanging globe light fixtures instead of traditional table lamps.
Designers Cécile Figuette and Frédéric Bonnin of French brand Minakani Lab create wallpaper and panoramas that are larger-than-life, with motifs that repeat randomly and compositions that are light and airy. Printed in Paris, the wallpaper is printed to the client’s wall dimensions and some can be adapted to your own colour scheme. ‘The Wild’ (pictured here) is inspired by Douanier Rousseau and illustrated by hand in black and white. The entire wall decor is priced at €900, or is available in three parts for €300 each.
Simple finishes provide a backdrop for the collection of modern art in this Victorian town house in west London. The owners chose architect Seth Stein, who is known for his masterly paring back of historic buildings. The colour in the main bedroom comes from a seventeenth-century tapestry on the wall, along with the pair of armchairs upholstered in vivid blue mohair from Kvadrat.
A feature panel behind a bed always looks great, whether it’s a contrasting paint colour, a wallpaper or a picture wall. These shimmering mosaic tiles fit perfectly with the girly, vintage inspired scheme.

A dressing room or walk-in wardrobe is the ultimate luxury in a bedroom. My favourite bedroom has got to be my own. First of all, our ‘Breaking Bad’ style crocheted throw. Doug and I got completely addicted to this piece of TV genius and are convinced it is going to seriously influence Interior Trends for the next decade – the architecture in Albuquerque is so nice: slightly Mexican with a modern ‘edge’. The artwork above the bed is by my husband, Douglas. His work is our pension. The 1980’s style TV in the corner is a reassuring presence, as is the retro gas fire – all perfect for our unique, one off 1970’s house. The wire shelving racks are the perfect place to put books, phones and our industrial style inspection lamps. Image credit

The bedroom is decorated in a pale green colour scheme. The elegant, Grade II-listed stucco building overlooks the garden square in central London, bringing the outside in. Two meagre bedrooms were knocked into one generous one, filled with light from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Many people believe that a small room has to be painted white or a very pale pastel, but in reality, dark colors make the walls visually recede, increasing the perceived size of the space. And if that isn’t reason enough to consider going dark on your walls, then just take a look at the sophistication, serenity, and beauty of the deep purple walls here. Dark gray, navy or indigo blue, or dusky dark green are equally restful and lovely.

How about a minimalist bedroom that will wish you sweet dreams? A bedroom that pleases your senses after a long and busy day. A space that is a balm for the soul of its residents, which creates a sense of sanctuary amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A Zen space with a subtle extravagant touch in the form of a marble wall which acts as a blank canvas for other features. A focal point in a form of a cosy bed upholstered with a nice, soft fabric enriched with two asymmetric lamps giving the space an usual and interesting look. There is a large walk-in wardrobe, to the right of the bed, allowing residents to keep the space nice and tidy – perhaps apart from a couple of great books laying around here and there. But who wouldn’t love to lay down on this bed with a good read? Image credit
I’m really into using dark colours in the bedroom. It creates such an intimate vibe and I find it incredibly relaxing, plus it’s super sophisticated and very glamorous! The designer did a great job in creating a room that incorporates beautiful traditional elements like the panelling and mouldings, but brings it up to date with bold lighting and metallics. To make this room more ‘me’ I’d add a few more POP art elements, calm accent colours and a bit of street chic with the accessories. Image credit
