I actuallly really like these rooms, there really neat. But in case you havn’t noticed alot of teen girls(or at least the ones i know), aren’t exactly up there on the money scale. i mean there not broke, but they cant go buy stuff like this for an affordable price. And usually the ones who can, well they dont use the internet for there bedroom ideas. They probably use the months top teen room magazine or somthing like that.lol I’m just saying, the girls that actually use this site for ideas probably wouldnt be able to use this stuff. Maybey a more realistic list of teen room would be better for our use. Besides real talent is making your room look amazing with a small bugdet. Being creative!

Larger products, such as beds and head boards, must be chosen with the concept that they will continue to serve the child for a number of even more years. Wooden headboards are usually the most effective selection for boys. When boys are young, wood head boards can quickly function as the background for a nautical theme or cowboy style; both which are typically quite preferred with young boys. When he outgrows these motifs wood headboards can easily be incorporated right into a more mature theme, specifically with making use of dark strong colors and also plaids.

When choosing the pieces that will decorate your walls, try to keep variety in mind. Play with colors, textures and artistic materials for the artwork itself, and don’t be afraid to mix different sizes, shapes and frame styles.

If you have young daughters sharing a bedroom, give each a say in how that room is decorated, but be prepared to step in as the final word. Some children like to personalize their section of the room; others like to match. Just be sure that each girl has an area to store her favorite possessions, and there is enough desk space for both to do homework at the same time. This adorable space from Finnian’s Moon Interiors uses a peaceful palette of green, blue, and soft gray.

This tulle dress form of sorts is a great way to hold and display all of your little girl’s hair bows and such. The tulle easily holds its shape and has a great texture for the bows to hold on to, plus it can become quite decorative – it’s a bow skirt after all. momdot.

Make tidying up more fun with pretty fabric storage boxes slotted into a white-painted unit. A large scale wall sticker picks up on the colours of the boxes to turn the storage area into a focal point.

Hot, tropical colours will make for an energetic bedroom – it might help the girl who lives in it get out of bed faster in the morning, but then again… Hot pinks and deep oranges blend beautifully, while citrus yellow accents, such as the bed frame, and crisp white bed linen http://business.borgernewsherald.com/borgernewsherald/news/read/35871325 through the red-based hues to add a fresh hit to the overall look.

Her closet still has the curtains on it like we had for the playroom. We had to modify the shelving in the closet to fit clothes as we had built it for a playroom. We used a Rubbermaid closet system that can be easily modified because it has tracks in the walls. You can see what the closet looked like before in my playroom reorganization post. It has detailed pics for you. It cost just a few dollars to change out her closet to hold her clothes and still hold some toys and some homeschool supplies.

Listen. I’m seventeen and frankly I don’t know anyone my age who’d actually like one of these rooms (no offense). They all just seem so busy and cluttered. I admit, the loft is totally awesome and having a bathroom in my room would be a dream come true, but next time, try designing something more simplier. That way the teen can decorate it with things THEY like. Sorry for the harsh criticism. ?

Their rooms are still a huge work in progress. In fact, we did our big trip to IKEA, moved their rooms and then haven’t done anything since. As you will see in the pictures, there is still quite a bit of work to do.

Bedrooms should be tranquil and relaxing! When I redecorated mine, I chose a very pale grey wall colour with matching bed linen and curtains! I hung my floor-length curtains high up on the wall, and to the sides of the window frames to create the illusion of height and larger windows. This maximises the light coming in to the room, and together with the white painted wooden floor, gives the room a calm and airy feel. I kept the decor fuss free, just adding different patterned textiles in the same colours for some visual interest, and warmed up the look by adding some copper accessories. A light chain and some industrial style cage lights either side of the bed gives a cosy glow at night and my bedtime reading supply (interior magazines) are kept handy by the bed and doubles up as a bedside table! A light, airy guest room gets a dose of vintage charm with an antique iron bed and canary prints from a 1951 picture book hung on the wall. Traditional accents keep the space feeling cozy and classic.

THANKS for all our sharp photos of moving your 2 girls from 1 shared bedroom to 2… meaning each has her OWN BEDROOM! Like you mentioned, painting walls, decorating & new bedding for both bedrooms later. I like the look of the white IKEA dresser, so clean & simple/modern. In addition the TROFAST system from IKEA is FAB! What I really like are the “wash me!” woven basket for laundry! THANKS FOR SHARING. I’m anxious to read & view photos of future posts of your 2 girls’ bedrooms … in the next year or so? Sarah Helene in Minneapolis

I love everything about this bedroom. It’s simplicity and minimalistic approach is what’s really appealing.  Those white wooden floorboards are just totally divine and make the room so bright and airy. I just love a room that has white walls and flooring because it is the perfect backdrop for adding colourful accessories. For me it also gives a sense of tranquillity.  Let’s not forget to mention the hanging light bulb, such a beautiful and simple feature. What I am also lusting after is the clothes rail. Having your clothes out on show gives it a feminine touch to your room and feels very Carrie Bradshaw – just to need to make sure to be super tidy! Image credit
