You can create a great view by adding several shelves to your wall, and avoid making them all aligned to each other and equal in size, instead, add a large one and then several smaller ones above. That would help create a nice view to your walls, especially if they are colored. These shelves will also give you a nice space on which you can organize your books, artwork, and little girly stuff.

Are Ariel, Cinderella and Belle your daughter’s best friends? Does she love every Disney princess and dream of arriving at a ball in a pumpkin carriage of her own? What better way to decorate her room than with a full-wall mural of her favorite animated characters? When I began Benji’s room, it was all about getting to know him. Benji has a twin brother so I wanted to make sure when designing their rooms that their different personalities were expressed.  I soon found out that Benji’s favourite color was blue, so blue was a must. I also found out that Benji was interested in travel, the world, and had a very inquisitive mind. These two details were then the theme for my design. I used a large blue rug so that blue was prominent in his room but I didn’t want it to be dark and dreary so I chose a yellow to lift the blue and then used accents of both blue and yellow around the room. To inspire his travel goals, I added a world map on one wall and commissioned a small hand painted compass mural on another wall. I love this space as it’s light, bright, stylish and still reflects Benji’s fun, adventurous personality

Being a ballerina is almost as much of dream for little girls as being a princess. This dream can easily be achieved, as it isn’t very difficult at all to hang a ballet barre and matching big mirror in your princess’s room. blesserhouse.

Plush carpets work well for bedrooms. Although they offer comfort and luxury, carpets are dust traps and have to be cleaned regularly. Stains can be difficult to remove and they are not durable as hardwood floors. If you choose to use hardwood flooring, be sure to invest in good quality area rugs as they can help to soften the look of the bedroom and add warmth. Tiles are another option, and work well in hot climate regions, as they help to keep the place cool. Vinyl and laminate flooring are also options worth considering for the bedroom.

Teen bedroom ideas should include functions specific to their age, as well as look great. While adults prefer a space that’s calm and understated, teens appreciate vibrant, high energy rooms. Keep the following teen bedroom ideas in mind.

WoW! The bedroom by Samantha Pynn is incredible and perfect for us. I got married couple of weeks ago and we’re moving next month to our new apartment. So I was looking for special bedroom decoration ideas and got the perfect one!

Bedrooms are our personal retreats. For me, a well designed bedroom needs to be effortless. I like how the masculine simplicity of this design is balanced against rich textures – the cashmere panelled walls and geometric carpet, offset dark polished woods and a platinum trimmed bed. The space isn’t grand, but with an understated colour palette and strong use of symmetry, it’s easily replicable – even if you don’t have the £199m needed to buy the Monaco Penthouse it sits within! Image credit

The key, in most cases, is to banish childish decor and not impose your own style ideas on your teens’ room – it’s their retreat after all, and their idea of cool decorating most likely differs from yours. If you’re concerned about their changeable tastes and desire to keep up with trends, keep the basic wall colour neutral and use cool bedroom accessories and fresh bed linen to update the space and give it personality. The other teen bedroom essential is storage – even if every parent knows how difficult it can be to get your child to clean and tidy up after themselves, neat storage systems, from shelving to wardrobes, drawers to under-bed or end-of-bed storage benches means there’s no excuse for clutter. Get this combination of style and bedroom furniture essentials right, and you might even be in your teen girl’s good books for a little while! What more could you ask for?

A stunning four-poster bed will make your child feel very grown-up, modern and sophisticated, while a combination of orange, raspberry and red is a modern alternative to traditional pink. White furniture helps to keep the look uncluttered. Try Argos for a similar bed.

This bedroom ticks a lot of boxes for me with the herringbone floor, contemporary light fitting and soft linen bedding. I always have a soft spot for period properties and the owners of this home have highlighted the gorgeous high ceiling with a dusty pink colour – a bold but highly effective way to add colour into a room without it being overwhelming. Also, by bringing the curtain pole the full width of the wall, the curtains do not cover the window at all – allowing for maximum light and a really luxurious feel with all of that lovely soft fabric. HGTV fan lolabboutique ditched the usual little girl decor and created an antique, cottage-style bedroom that can easily work for all ages. To add a personalized and playful touch to any little girl’s bedroom, find unique representations of the letters that spell her name or her first initial. To mirror the framed L-O-L-A letters in this space, find antique wooden frames, paint them white and distress the edges for a simple weathered look. Print letters in various fonts on a manila background and add to the frame.

Give your tween girl an extra layer of privacy with bed drapery. In addition to using the drapery as an opportunity to play with pattern and color, it’s also a great way to allow any sleepover guests to sleep in once the sun starts beaming in through the window.

I actuallly really like these rooms, there really neat. But in case you havn’t noticed alot of teen girls(or at least the ones i know), aren’t exactly up there on the money scale. i mean there not broke, but they cant go buy stuff like this for an affordable price. And usually the ones who can, well they dont use the internet for there bedroom ideas. They probably use the months top teen room magazine or somthing like that.lol I’m just saying, the girls that actually use this site for ideas probably wouldnt be able to use this stuff. Maybey a more realistic list of teen room would be better for our use. Besides real talent is making your room look amazing with a small bugdet. Being creative!

Their rooms are still a huge work in progress. In fact, we did our big trip to IKEA, moved their rooms and then haven’t done anything since. As you will see in the pictures, there beach bedroom color ideas still quite a bit of work to do.

Think Pink! as the old song from the Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire film Funny Face goes. Pair a pink themed girls’ room with sturdy woods and sheer fabrics for a kid-friendly look that’s still stylish.

  1. Any time picking out the shade, think about the beautifying fashion. Some sort of modest, mossy green is useful together with modern day as well as craftsman fashion which integrate a great deal of wood in the furniture. Deeply green is useful with a additional traditional decoration and may end up being blended with other loaded colorings for instance red, wine red or darkish with an tasteful look. Apple green surfaces, along with sleep as well as eye-port material inside a structure together with a touch of reddish, properly go with cheap chic furniture. If you love ultra-bright colorings, think about green or chartreuse, matched together with violet or reddish for a fashionable look.
I am 20 y/o, I am in the United States Army and I live on post as a single soldier. The rooms the the single soldiers are given to stay in are very ugly and difficult to decorated I got several Ideas from this site and I enjoyed the different styles. Thank you. ?
Not sure if a neutral palette is attention-worthy? Think beyond the expected. Sophisticated florals on the walls, metallic accents, and an elegant light fixture are just enough to make this room sing.
If you have young daughters sharing a bedroom, give each a say in how that room is decorated, but be prepared to step in as the final word. Some children like to personalize their section of the room; others like to match. Just be sure that each girl has an area to store her favorite possessions, and there is enough desk space for both to do homework at the same time. This adorable space from Finnian’s Moon Interiors uses a peaceful palette of green, blue, and soft gray.
