I love the calming and clean atmosphere this space has, which I think is really important for a child’s room. As a Mid Century design geek I love the simple wooden mobile hanging above the cot, the print of the wolf cub matches the earthy tones of the wood and cushion perfectly. I also love the idea of having photography of baby animals in a kid’s room, its just the right amount of cuteness whilst still feeling a little grown up. I’m a big fan of Middle eastern textiles and I really like the slight juxtaposition of the candy coloured persian rug and monochrome block printed throw. The bedroom should be one of the most comfortable and relaxing rooms in your home. That’s why I prefer a warm, soothing colour palette that helps you to unwind after a long day. I feel that gold accents and luxurious textiles such as velvet and silk complement warmer tones very well and give it a high-end look without compromising the comfort. I like the rest of the decor quite minimalist though so the room doesn’t look too busy. Simple and chic is the way to go! Image credit

Making the most of the vertical space in a small bedroom is an excellent way to keep things neat and organized. Floating shelves will hold a multitude of books and magazines.   1. Here’s another room that would thrill just about any little girl, but isn’t going to break your budget. The pretty floral bedding, shelves filled with well-loved dolls and stuffed animals, and the appealing color scheme all add to the scene, but it’s the paper pompom flowers up on the ceiling and the faux butterflies streaming across the wall and the windows that turn the space into a wow.
