When it comes to bunk beds for kids, three words: versatility, versatility, versatility. This stylish bed works as a traditional bunk, or easily separates into a loft bed with a twin bed underneath (or an ‘I shaped’ bunk bed) – perfect for awkward or small spaces.
Give your tween girl an extra layer of privacy with bed drapery. In addition to using the drapery as an opportunity to play with pattern and color, it’s also a great way to allow any sleepover guests to sleep in once the sun starts beaming in through the window.
I adore these room ideas for young girls. Some are for a little younger girl but my favorite has to be the one with the Audrey Hepburn picture on the wall. Its trendy, flirty, and girly. These ideas are so different I could see many personalities being able to shine through with them.

This beautiful soft industrial bedroom featured on the cover of the launch issue of Warehouse Home – and it’s been proving very popular! The original of a warehouse conversion, such as exposed brickwork, can often feel ‘hard’ and ‘masculine’. Old and new steel furniture is especially striking in such spaces but can also feel cold. When styling the Warehouse Home bedroom (above), we wanted to prove that industrial chic can have a soft side. A bespoke galvanised steel pipe bed, designed exclusively for Warehouse Home by Inspirit Deco, was the focal point of our warehouse bedroom. And beside it, a vintage industrial bedside cabinet. We then used a ‘masculine and feminine’ palette of greys and blush pinks and a variety of textured fabrics (linen, tweed, velvet), to bring warmth to our bedroom and soften the industrial look. Select vintage accessories complemented the warehouse conversion’s heritage features, while flowers and decorative vintage glassware further enhanced the “femininity” of the space. Image credit
The bedroom of artists Linda and David Heathcoat-Amory is a graceful high-ceilinged cube. To the left of the four-poster bed hangs a Pissarro drawing; the painted pale-blue and white stripes on the walls were inspired by the photographer Derry Moore’s house.
Measuring just 90 square metres, this home to a family of five in Chelsea, London, makes use of every inch of space. Designed by Eve Mercier, the small kids’ bedroom features two broad, wall-mounted benches (underneath the loft bed) that are easily transformed into beds (bed-linen is concealed below), while a third, drawer bed slides out when needed. We wanted a versatile space that could easily be converted into a study if necessary, explains Eve. A circular, frosted window overlooks the bathroom.

This is a gorgeous example of a modern bohemian bedroom, achieving a relaxed and simple yet cosy atmosphere. I love how the dark navy walls finish just shy of the ceiling, adding the sense of height and drama with the fabulous pendant over the bed. A hanging rattan chair with sheepskin looks like a perfect place to swing on whilst reading your papers in the morning with a coffee, and THAT giant fig leaf tree adds a powerful punch of green, and the all important link to nature. Sometimes there’s much to be gleaned from the design of a good hotel room. This one the Playa Grande Beach Club is painted in what it’s owner calls, ‘faded bathing-suit colours’, and layered with art, objects and vintage furnishings. The bed forms the focal point of a perfectly symmetrical tableau of furniture, starting with the wall mounted lamps and side tables and culminating with the bamboo sofa, coffee table and string chairs which form an appealing seating area for morning coffee and newspapers.
