A school uniform chair would be a truly special feature for any child or teenager’s room – uniform, sports kit, brownies, cubs, a favourite party dress, any outfit can become an eye-catching piece of furniture with a little imagination. Here, I used a digital fabric design and combined it onto my favourite style of armchair. This would work equally well on any style of chair, sofa or interior furnishing! I think this is a wonderfully quirky design that features a fabulous twist on a special part of your child or teenager’s life, making sure that the memories of their happiest years live on forever… Custom-designed chairs, lampshades, cushions and wallpaper designs are a fantastic edition to any child’s bedroom and provide high quality, extremely comfortable pieces that will make your bedroom design truly unique and memorable.
This tiny peachy pink door is a portal into the magic world where tooth fairies roam freely. It is easy to make and small enough that it can bring magic dust into any nook and cranny of the room. source.
For those looking for a master bedroom ideas to create an oasis, consider adding a sitting room, master bathroom and walk-in closet. Create your own personal reading nook by adding a relaxing chaise lounge or sofa. In your master bedroom suite you can even have a fireplace, wet bar or coffee bar for cold winter nights and chilly mornings. Finally, ensure you get time in the bathroom every morning by installing one just for you. You can add a relaxing bathtub and makeup vanity for a complete getaway from it all, and also incorporate a good-sized closet in your master bedroom design.
The first thing to tackle is the furniture layout. If you have a baby, chances are you’ll be in and out of the room at night to tend to the baby. If possible, place their beds in opposite corners or walls with the crib being most accessible to the door. Obviously structural elements such as windows and heaters can dictate otherwise but your design objective is to give each child the most comfortable night’s sleep without one waking the other.
Bedrooms are our personal retreats. For me, a well designed bedroom needs to be effortless. I like how the masculine simplicity of this design is balanced against rich textures – the cashmere panelled walls and geometric carpet, offset dark polished woods and a platinum trimmed bed. The space isn’t grand, but with an understated colour palette and strong use of symmetry, it’s easily replicable – even if you don’t have the £199m needed to buy the Monaco Penthouse it sits within! This cottage bedroom at ‘Driftwood’ in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand was a shoot location for Laura Thomas Linens ‘Organic Bed Linen Collection’. A space where time became irrelevant and the busy technological world we live in could be placed on hold. The coastal style was uncluttered and the use of straw roller blinds and natural light created an atmosphere of wilderness and calm. The incredible view could be enjoyed from the comfort of the bed. A perfect paradise to wake up to! Image credit
Strawberry and her friends are opening a new cafe filled with all sorts of scrumptious desserts. Could you help them get ready for their opening day? They want to bake lots of cakes and other yummy treats and they just can’t figure out where to begin!

Dark and moody decor can be achieved without turning a teen bedroom into a bat cave; paint the walls a smart dark grey, and layer up lighter shades of grey and white, using different patterns to add interest, and a throw in a pop of one other colour for a little youthful energy. A hand-lettered print on the wall (in this case a parental reminder, maybe!) along with other ice-white accents, freshens the finish without taking away from the overall impact.
• The proven fact that women and girls generally adore multi colors ideas in decorating their bedrooms, they like to use brilliant colours and lot of ornaments, as these colors give youthful sensation and female aspect in the girls’ bedrooms decorating ideas.
[…] knew we needed additional storage in the smaller room when we moved our girls into their own rooms. I also was on a budget. I came up with the idea to buy 3 IKEA Expedits and make a shelving unit […]
Moody, masculine & deliciously unconventional, Scott Newkirk’s New York bedroom is my idea of the perfect retreat. I love the way he has skilfully coupled a restrained & muted palette with a medley of textural layers from metal & woods to linen, wool & length-upon-length of natural burlap. He has created a surprisingly luxurious getaway which is both atmospheric & calming. Image credit
There’s a few things that are key to how you feel when you walk into your bedroom – mainly it comes down to floors, walls, furniture and decoration. If you’re renting you may not be able to touch the floors or walls and will have to work with what you have. If it’s your own house however, you may be wondering which colour to paint the walls so they go with your floors, or so you can make a small bedroom appear bigger. Pay attention to these elements in the photos.
My belief is that a bedroom should be clean and simple. We spend so much time in our bedrooms trying to unwind from the day. That’s why we should create a serene space for ourselves. This bedroom is both serene and cool. The black and white palette proves that you don’t have to have a lot of colour to stand out. Image credit
Vintage themed décor is one of the best teenage bedroom ideas that you can use for your girls. The typical pastel pallet along with vintage floral design on the upholsteries and curtains will add a subtle feminine and elegant element to the entire room décor. To enhance the theme of the room, you can add ottomans and other furniture upholstered in fabrics that give off a vintage hue.
This tulle dress form of sorts is a great way to hold and display all of your little girl’s hair bows and such. The tulle easily holds its shape and has a great texture for the bows to hold on to, plus it can become quite decorative – it’s a bow skirt after all. momdot.
Even a small space can have an airy, open vibe when your palette is mostly white with just one cheery accent color. Notice how easy it is to mix patterns when they share the same two colors; the striped rug, small floral comforter, and larger floral sheets don’t feel busy or overwhelming even though the room is very small.
A black and white colour scheme isn’t usually associated with kids’ rooms but, if your daughter’s not a girly-girl, a monochrome palette, accessorised with bright hues in green or red, is a great alternative to pinks.
These are way too overboard. I mean who has money to do all this. I personally do not like any of them. Some are too girly whille others are just plain ew. Put something that could possibly be real please.
In fact, your small bedroom may be a blessing for a better night’s sleep. The American Sleep Association recommends keeping stimulating activities out of the bedroom. They warn that distractions like TV, internet, and work can disrupt your sleep patterns. So, the less there is to do in your bedroom, the more sleep you set yourself up for. How’s that for smart design?
Looking to add a little preppy charm to your space? Start with one or two saturated colors like deep magenta and navy blue, then pull it all together with crisp white bordered bedding and accent pieces in a fun chevron print.
Isn’t this just so cute? The shelf with the doll clothes hanging from it is part of my $24 shelving solution (which is now split up between the two rooms). Love how she has the horses all in the stable.
This pink little girl’s room idea is a thrill for a kid at any age. The soft pink wall color is age-neutral, and the ornate rug and tufted bed frame can grow up along with your little girl. A crystal chandelier adds sparkle and maturity to the space. For a girl’s bedroom idea for a small room, stick with a twin bed and narrow furniture with plenty of storage.
I love it because of the contemporary nod, yet colourful edge. It oozes character and personality and you know these home owners don’t shy away from expressing themselves through their decor; I love that kind of confidence and willingness to experiment. It inspires me to be bolder in my interior design choices! Image credit
I love the luminousity of this bedroom. Huge windows and a total white background -even the ceiling beams have been painted in white- lights up all the space. Even if I love total white interiors, I think that some spots of colour can make a bedroom cosier. Here, I love the choice of dusty pink: it’s a trendy colour hue for this year and it goes well with most of colours. Also, pink is known as one of the most relaxing colours, so I think it’s perfect for a bedroom. (Grasshopper floor lamp and About a Lounge by Hay chair are always a great choice for a reading corner, love them in pink) One original architectural feature of this room, the mezzanine with bed on top: http://sports.morningdispatcher.com/news/overstock-clearance-sale-company-stockclearanceguru-celebrates-successful-launch/0052164/ always been fascinated by low beds, but I’m not used to sleep close to the floor…so this is a good compromise! Just one thing I would add in this beautiful room: some linen curtains on that windows, here in Italy it’s not possible to think about a bedroom without curtains, you could just die of heat here in a mid summer morning! While one of one of the most standard techniques is to position a bed with the head board flush versus a wall surface, you could wish to use a much more interesting method. One of the most popular techniques is to position the headboard of the bed in the edge of the room. This will make the bed the focal point of the area, which can be helpful if you have an intriguing headboard. Certainly, if you take place to have a beautiful view outside the window of your bedroom, it is likewise a good idea to position the bed so that it encounters the home window. This will certainly allow you to wake up every early morning to a motivating and rejuvenating view.
Weathered shutters add a touch of shabby chic flair to this cozy gray and white bedroom from Décor Gold Designs. It’s easy to work a vintage vibe into even a small bedroom – use an antique chest as a nightstand or footboard, set an old door in place of a headboard, or adorn your walls with framed vintage embroidered handkerchiefs, maps or botanical designs.
so im a 17 year old teenage girl and only the last room looks remotly livable in. no personal aspects to any of them just random decorative ornaments like numbers (i spotted a 10 and a 5). and as a teenage girl i do not have a buget to build custom long closet all around my room, nor do i have a balcony.
