This attic bedroom in west London designed by Hackett Holland is proof that you can make any awkward space stylish. It features London street map wallpaper and a sweet reading nook with a porthole window through which to gaze out (pictured out of shot, see it up close here).

I wanted this nursery to be a tranquil yet timeless space. The combination of subtle greys, soft pinks and white furniture is timeless and effortlessly stylish and ensures longevity. Taking inspiration from the vintage wallpaper tree art, I have accented this with brighter pinks and lime greens to punctuate the scheme and add freshness. The cotton curtains, have a playful embroidered band across the bottom featuring cats and birds, adding interest and fun to the scheme and contrasting well with the brighter pink linen blind. There is a useful mix of both open and closed storage. Contemporary pieces (such as the bunny nightlight and the grey acrylic storage stool) are mixed with vintage finds (including the wallpaper used for the tree and the antique children’s books) to create a unique room and one that complements the rest of the home. A sweet sanctuary.

When done right, black wall paint can make a chic statement in your sleep space. The trick? Paint one wall black and leave the others a bright white, then fill your room with colorful decor in fun patterns and textures.

For interior designer Charlotte Crosland and the owner of this reconfigured central London flat, a shared vision has resulted in generously comfortable rooms accented with splashes of colour. In this spare room, the vibrant decoration includes a yellow Volga blanket and a painted antique chest of drawers from Myriad.

Most bedrooms function as living and playing spaces, which means decorating needs to work double-duty. Choose a rich color, like this terra-cotta, and introduce accents in natural tones to keep the room feeling warm and comfortable.

i love all the design and they are wonderful.. but it must be someone for guys so they can make their rooms design…. plss let me know am teen boy.@ FAY and SANDRA. i want u to know that we are all here to look at it and comment but not to attack each other, each and everyone have his or her own choice, so u must be aware of that and no one should sound rude to anyone. thank you i hope u both will understand each other.

Celebrated interior decorator Nicky Haslam opens the doors to his own west-London apartment, which is an elegantly playful showcase for his masterful use of scale and dramatic details, and his signature mix of the fake and the fabulous. Painted a rich dark brown, the canopy in the bedroom was inspired by a Cecil Beaton drawing. Nicky brought the bed with him from his former flat and found the table lamps in a second-hand shop.

There’s nothing like an in-house retreat to make a child’s room more fun. This girly teepee tent is small enough to include in interior spaces, while still providing ample space for her to sneak away into her own private hideaway. Design by Susie Fougerousse

Hi, I am 13 almost 14 and in this next 2018 April or summer I will be moving. I have always shared a room, but I will have my own room. I never thought of having my own room and want it to be great. But I don’t know. I don’t know if you can help me, but thanks!

Multipurposing will help a tween get much more use out of her room. To create a tween-height gathering area, consider using a coffee table in the center of the bedroom. Once guests come over, the low stature of the coffee table makes it the perfect spot to pull up a pillow and snack while playing games or reading books.

A dressing room or walk-in wardrobe is the ultimate luxury in a bedroom. It’s best to go bespoke (funds allowing), as an experienced cabinet designer will know how to make the most of every last inch of storage space, incorporating shoe racks, clothes drawers, built-in shelves, hanging rails and more.

For Emma Bridgewater and her husband Matthew Rice, a shared desire to preserve skills and traditions has influenced their booming ceramics business, as well as the restoration of their farmhouse and barn in Oxfordshire. As seen here, the bedroom retains the original stonework.

It’s exciting to open up possibilities with the girls’ dorm inspiration we’ve created with your decorating freedom in mind. Adding geometric plush pillows in contrasting colors turns your bed or chairs into fun focal points of the room. Make moody hues more inviting by ensuring your furniture looks super cosy. Here, ultra-soft cotton, luxurious fabrics and a plethora of blankets make this room serenely restful. Bonus points for the squidgy-looking pillows. Ahh…

Sisters sharing a room can be a recipe for squabbling. To keep the peace, go in with a game plan. If the girls are old enough to help with decor decisions, ask for their input. That way they’ll feel like they have a vested interest in the room. Also, designate an area for each girl’s stuff so both will feel like they have their own space. Another tip: Plan for the future. When baby outgrows the crib, be prepared to shift around furniture or consider adding a bunk bed or a trundle bed.

Be bold with a Fireman Sam style red and yellow scheme. Contemporary fitted furniture makes the best use of the space, creating clever storage but also strong lines, giving it a modern geometric feel.

For the girl who is always experimenting with a new look, offer her a solid-color bedspread with the option of interchangeable throw pillows. Start off with a few, then let your girl add and subtract as you both find new pillows to mix in. Search out clearance racks and discount stores for affordable pillows to switch up the look.

Do you love anything flowery or botanical? The stately rose design bedding in our collection can help you express the style you prefer. With bedding that shows white roses in full bloom layered on a navy background, you bring a vibrant look to life within your dorm room. Partnering the bedding with sheets in solid colors of pink navy, gray and ivory helps you fully express the elegant look you’re going for. Brighten up the room with storage trunks and carts in bold color options. Hanging sheers in lavender or light blue on your windows completes the entire look.

I like interiors being minimalist, effortless and welcoming and this bedroom embodies all these things. I love the contrast of the matte black floorboards, the various hues of dark and light grey soft stonewashed linen to curl up in bed on a Sunday morning, the gorgeous atelier windows and the sheet of rusty metal casually lay against the wall and turned into a simple piece of art and a few of our favourite design books. A great combination of simple lines, textures and muted colours. Image credit

I love a crisp, clean, modern bedroom like this one from NylonPinksy. I love to switch up an ‘expected’ design of a space, with something unexpected like using two different lamps on the nightstands (as in this photo).

In Louise Jones’ cottage the spare bedroom curtains are Bennison Fabrics’ ‘Apple Blossom’ and the wallpaper is ‘Persian Rose’ from George Spencer Designs. A day bed upholstered in cream linen doubles as a sofa.

Some are more serious; others feature familiar (and popular) pink, orange and red schemes. All of the rooms are practical, featuring workspaces, bookcases or shelving systems, and beautiful cabinets especially designed for teenage girls. Finally, a mirror is a mandatory item in any girl’s bedroom, so you will notice that mirrors have a special status in some of the photos below.

Guys, in case you aren’t aware there are materials to paint a room that are not expensive..especially if you do it yourself. Also you can design a room based on someone else’s design. Your room doesn’t have to look EXACTLY like the designer’s. And, of course, you have to adjust a design to the size and shape of your room. Just putting that out there because there’s a very small chance that you will find a design that if made FOR you and your room..

Ecclesiastical iconography, oriental fabrics and a collection of hanging lamps, mainly from Turkey, imbue the main bedroom of Tessa Kennedy’s London home with a colourful eclecticism. The curtains formerly belonged to the ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev and the Gothic bed was used as a prop in the 1966 horror film Eye of the Devil.

This chic attic conversion consists of soft neutrals and classic furniture that could easily be seen in the ‘grown-up’ bedrooms of the house. However the sweet matching wall art gives it a younger feel.

Create a stronger design impact in your home by including your favourite elements in every room – including children’s rooms. This room mixes funky furnishings with a kids’ touch. DON’T MISS OUR KIDS ROOMS DESIGN GUIDE

Patterns are a recurring theme in Tarquin and Isobel Bilgen’s house; they beautifully match the beams that line the wall in their bedroom. Joss Graham is a good port of call for unusual fabrics; their embroidered horse cover from Uzbekistan (£2,800) dates from about 1900 and would work well as a bedhead. Similarly, an 18th-century French quilt from Katharine Pole (£1,850) is a close match to the Bilgen’s bedcover, made with fabric from Bennison.

When done right, black wall paint can make a chic statement in your sleep space. The trick? Paint one wall black and leave the others a bright white, then fill your room with colorful decor in fun patterns and textures.

For a scheme in House & Garden’s August 2017 issue, Acting Decoration Editor Ruth Sleightholme worked with wicker designs and French textiles in a bedroom with distressed paintwork and tiled floors in Atelier Vime’s eighteenth-century hôtel particulier, Hotel Drujon.

There are so many gorgeous teen girl bedroom ideas out there!  My daughter has had the black and hot pink bedroom going on a for a few years now and it’s adorable, but we’re thinking maybe it’s time for a change. We have found so many options that are so cool, they are bound to inspire your next DIY project!

If your ultimate goal is “cozy,” then work different textures into the décor. Stick with classic patterns (tartan plaid, checks) and introduce different colors with the bed linens, walls, and accessories.

Personally I like a child’s room not to have a theme, instead adding decorative touches, so that they can grow with the room. I tend to always steer towards bright pastels and pattern for children, I think it brightens a room and makes them feel clean but cool at the same time. The photo shows a beautiful bedroom for a little girl. I love how it is totally neutral whilst colourful – this room could happily be for a girl or boy of any age. My top picks for a children’s room would always be second-hand furniture painted in beautiful colours, bright simple bed linen, key timeless decorative pieces that can be passed down, photos or artwork to reflect their personalities and loads of storage. The architectural style is late Georgian, with generous sash windows, deep eaves and a dash of Italianate villa, thanks to a balcony that sits above the drawing room bay, and a pair of triple-arched windows across the first floor of the south-west façade where terraced lawns drop away to woodland. This bedroom embodies the modest grandeur of English country-house style. The walls are in ‘Linen Stripe’ by Arthouse.

Proof that grown-up taste can co-exist with kids’ rooms? Bodil Blain’s daughter’s bedroom in Bayswater (designed by Fiona Parke) which features a Damien Hirst artwork above the Kelly Wearstler-inspired bed.

Hi Courtney! Wow, what a great site you have here! So many awesome ideas in one place. My daughter started college this year, and when she gets a chance to come home we are going to the tie-dyed pillows for her dorm room. Thanks so much for the great ideas and keep up the good work! ?

personally i think they should be more realistic about the room sizes most kids dont have a room the size of these. and i personally dont like have of these rooms they look to grown up or kinda kidish.

There can be few House & Garden readers who are unfamiliar with the cult names and sought-after colours of the Farrow & Ball paint chart. Friends and business partners Martin Ephson and Tom Helme, the men responsible for planting it firmly in the nation’s consciousness, sold the company in 2006, and have since launched textiles company Fermoie. House & Garden decoration editor Gabby Deeming created a pretty scheme using their fabrics. The padded headboard, upholstered in the ‘Rabanna’ cotton is from Fafio, while the sofa and chair are both from Howe.

In the London apartment of Venetian designer Alvise Orsini, ricepaper has been painted to match two eighteenth-century Chinese wall panels found at auction. ‘It is impossible to tell the difference,’ he says. The gilded bed, possibly by Georges Jacob (1739-1814) was found in Paris, while the eighteenth-century velvet bedcover, embroidered with gold thread, was acquired at a Christie’s textiles auction.

Relocating to Oxford after 15 years in Japan and Hong Kong, the owners of this Victorian house put together a team of experts to create a mostly open-plan layout full of intriguing design details. Despite the architectural strength, the house unfolds slowly, allowing the eye to pick up intricate details and layered textures as you wander through. It is a scheme that strikes the balance between formal and family living in the brief to American interior designer Susan Ferrier of McAlpine. The main bedroom is decorated in a muted neutral scheme.

This kid’s room features a Hans J Wegner bed, which sets the tone for Danish simplicity in this white space. Simple, modern furniture complements the bright and airy feel of the scheme, while mustard curtains and a framed print on the wall add colour and interest.

While modern and luxurious design ideas often tell you that you need to have a sitting area, small office, or a king size bed in your bedroom, don’t forget that a bedroom’s main function is to be a place to rest and recharge. And you don’t much to create a beautiful space to do so.

Many little girl’s bedroom themes can be loud or trendy rather than timeless. If you’d rather avoid them, look for more subtle ways to incorporate a child’s interests or hobbies. For a ballet enthusiast, dress the room in shades of pink, plenty of ruffles, and a few nods to her passion, such as a display of tutus and a piece of art, rather than a whole ballet-slipper bedding set and suite of accessories.

Proof that one can still create a functional, stylish bedroom in a small area. A bunk bed with a built-in desk frees up space for a sofa, and built-in storage, hidden hanging rails and wall pegs ensure the room is kept clutter-free.

Situated between Marrakesh and the Atlas Mountains, the holiday home of Colefax & Fowler’s Trudi Ballard, is decorated in a combination of English country-house style and traditional Moroccan elements. The site of the house is perfect: down a dirt track or two and into an olive grove, where the house seems almost part of the landscape. At the end of a gravel path is a studded wooden door leading to a shaded walk then a cool, airy hall through french windows. This bedroom has a pretty delft-blue palette, with an Indian cotton bedspread and plates above the chimneypiece from Fez.

I really like these rooms I’m trying to design my daughters room because we are moving soon and i think the book shelfs are a great idea to store small things and big things without taking up space so thanks!!!!!

I love the way this black and gold room turned out. The best thing about this room was it was very affordable to decorate, as most of the decorations are from Gordmans, Hobby Lobby and the At Home Store and the bedding is from Target.

In the bedrooms of Monteverdi’s Villa Muri Antichi, the hotel’s designer, Ilaria Miani has coupled wooden beams and marble floors sourced in Italy, with beds built by craftsmen in Sarteano at the foot of the hill. The C&C Milano bedlinen – dyed in shades of rose, eggshell blue and oatmeal – is handmade in Milan. The walls are finished in what is normally an outdoor render, but the effect is smooth and cool to the touch.

Eye-popping aqua makes a statement in this bedroom as a striking backdrop for crisp white trim and girl’s bedroom accessories. Pops of pink, inspired by the cherry blossom tree painted on the wall, contrast the room’s ultra-colorful walls. Through the white doors, a bright white room awaits with furniture placed to it the perfect reading nook. Subtle girl’s room themes like this can grow with her into teen years and beyond.

In this bedroom white walls, ceiling, carpet and bedding is brought to life with patterned blinds, headboards and a colourful rug. All of the patterns are different, introducing an element of fun and vacation spirit.

Stylists Gabby Deeming and Florence Rolfe transformed this historic timber-framed barn with crisp linens and accents of bold colour. The main bedroom features a nineteenth-century iron-framed half-tester bed hung with bold red striped curtains.

Monochrome is the among the most confident of interior styles. Inspired by the elegance of 1960s black-and-white fashion photography, it’s a style that’s endured. Here, a colourless room uses a hint of grey and asymmetry to its advantage.

Grove Lodge, the Cambridge home of Tim Knox, director of The Fitzwilliam Museum, and landscape designer Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, provides the perfect setting for the couples growing collection of artwork and curiosities. In the spare bedroom a gallery wall of antique pictures has been coupled with a brass bed-frame and gingham bedspread.

Bold pattern adds character to the main bedroom in interior designer Karen Howes’s London flat. A porcelain lamp by Jonathan Adler illuminates the bedroom. This is the larch ‘Carnaby Flame Lamp’ with a handmade paper shade. It is available in a number of different colourways and costs £295. For a modern take on tie-backs, Karen’s team had the tassels dip-dyed so that they gradate from white to taupe. This is a bespoke service offered by Spina Design and prices start from £354 per tie-back. John Lewis also sells a dip-dye tie-back for £25.

This children’s bedroom in a Sussex newbuild belonging to architect Ptolemy Dean is nestled towards the top of the house. The look is finished with witty touches – a dart board and flags from around the world hung like bunting.

This bedroom in a Notting Hill townhouse is dominated by Michael Szell’s cheerful ‘Carnival’ fabric and wallpaper designed for Christopher Farr Cloth. The wall behind the bed has been entirely wallpapered, giving the effect of an extended headboard.

A school uniform chair would be a truly special feature for any child or teenager’s room – uniform, sports kit, brownies, cubs, a favourite party dress, any outfit can become an eye-catching piece of furniture with a little imagination. Here, I used a digital fabric design and combined it onto my favourite style of armchair. When I began Benji’s room, it was all about getting to know him. Benji has a twin brother so I wanted to make sure when designing their rooms that their different personalities were expressed.  I soon found out that Benji’s favourite color was blue, so blue was a must. I also found out that Benji was interested in travel, the world, and had a very inquisitive mind. These two details were then the theme for my design. I used a large blue rug so that blue was prominent in his room but I didn’t want it to be dark and dreary so I chose a yellow to lift the blue and then used accents of both blue and yellow around the room. To inspire his travel goals, I added a world map on one wall and commissioned a small hand painted compass mural on another wall. I love this space as it’s light, bright, stylish and still reflects Benji’s fun, adventurous personality

In a spare room at a Belgian art collector’s London home by Feddy van Zevenbergen, the headboard is covered in a Jane Shelton fabric. The panelling was too damaged to restore, so Freddy lined the walls with a dark herringbone cashmere, which contrasts with the pale Italian marble of the bathroom behind.

Maximising light and space was essential to show the owner’s post-war art and sleek French art deco furniture to their best advantage in this elegant Pimlico flat. A cosmic chair forms a focal point in this bright and airy girls bedroom in Florida. Glamour, sparkle and romance combine in the accessories, while white walls keep the backdrop crisp and clean. A powder pink accent wall is a super-feminine touch.

I love how Martyn Lawrence Bullard combines vibrant colours with serenity and calm in this bedroom; a perfect setting for colour lovers, who want to wind down in a relaxed setting after a hard day’s work. The different textures, such as the fur throw and carpet provide a great contrast to the mirrored bedside tables, which makes the room dynamic and interesting. I also love the ethnic element (Ikat cushions) combined with the ‘Modern Glamour’ style, which gives the room a new dimension. And how great is the coffee table at the end of the bed? I don’t like bedside tables, that are full of books and magazines, so this provides a great stage option that prevents cluttering the room and at the same time looks great! Image credit

Such girls bedroom ideas are stylish and modern as well. Check out the vibrant spread of hues in this bedroom! Every nook and corner of the room is so full of life. The neat attic bedroom of designer Hugh Leslie’s Chelsea studio is partially clad in horizontal tongue-and-groove boarding. This is a good trick to visually widen a small room. Try the Georgian range from The English Panelling Company, which would create a similar effect.

This bedroom is within a newbuild in California decorated by David Bentheim. A modern iron four poster bed is draped with a linen-covered duvet, wool blanket and monogrammed cushions. The colour scheme is kept calm and bright with white walls and painted panelled ceiling, Crittall-style french doors and window are both covered with soft grey roman blinds. A crystal chandelier adds the slightest touch of glam.

Ok so you may not have the cool exposed brick work and plumbing and the parquet floors, but if you’ve got the space then this tent bed combined with some characterful bedding is pretty much you all need to add the wow factor to a kid’s room. It even comes in a range of colours.

If floor space is limited but you have higher ceilings, consider adding a loft or platform for your sleeping area with storage or seating underneath. This isn’t an option for everyone, but for those who don’t mind literally climbing into bed, this layout can completely transform a space.

Designed by Ilse Crawford of Studioilse, the traditional bones of the room, including the Swedish tiled stove in the corner, work beautifully with playful modern pieces. For a similar knitted pouf we recommend getting the real hand-made deal from Claire Anne O’Brien, who can take bespoke commissions.

Nordic design lovers have never had it so good, with Scandinavian style now easy to find on our own shores. Our latest discovery? Danish design brand, OYOY. Anyone for a marathon box set session of The Killing in this bedroom?

i like a lot of the rooms but who has the money for that . we just sent one of my siblings down to florida for college(we live no where near florida) and now this year we are sending another sbling offf to college no way

A silver frame and accented wall light compliment the muted blues, greys and greens in the spare bedroom of Giles Vincent’s west London townhouse. The blue striped headboard adds a nautical touch to the room, while fresh flowers on the bedside table brighten-up the space.

I love the luminousity of this bedroom. Huge windows and a total white background -even the ceiling beams have been painted in white- lights up all the space. Even if I love total white interiors, I think that some spots of colour can make a bedroom cosier. Here, I love the choice of dusty pink: it’s a trendy colour hue for this year and it goes well with most of colours. Also, pink is known as one of the most relaxing colours, so I think it’s perfect for a bedroom. (Grasshopper floor lamp and About a Lounge by Hay chair are always a great choice for a reading corner, love them in pink) One original architectural feature of this room, the mezzanine with bed on top: I’ve always been fascinated by low beds, but I’m not used to sleep close to the floor…so this is a good compromise!  Just one thing I would add in this beautiful room: some linen curtains on that windows, here in Italy it’s not possible to think about a bedroom without curtains, you could just die of heat here in a mid summer morning! Image credit

In the daughter’s bedroom of a west London house, the ceiling has been painted to look like a circus tent, using Farrow & Ball’s ‘Rectory Red’ and Paint and Paper Library’s ‘Slate I’. The addition of a large basement extension to the house has freed up space on the upper floors for bright and capacious rooms, and a more fluid layout, ideal for family living.

Wall stickers are a great way to add a little personality to a child’s bedroom; they are also by no means permanent so once your child outgrows this charming woodland tea party theme it’s easy and inexpensive to make changes, without damaging walls.

I love your ideas! There great! Do you do anything for small room decores? I have a queen size bed and i am looking for a fun way to jazz up my room! I am 12 almost 13 and am tired of the old room! Dont have a ton o money so i hope you guys got something! Thank you !!!!!! ? ? ?

My recipe for a cool children’s bedroom involves 3 main ingredients: great storage, blackboard paint and amazing lights. I love this room because it works just as well for girls as it does for boys. The rock star/monochrome theme is always age appropriate – very important because in my experience kids grow. Fast! The hip industrial vibe is den-like and softened with tactile furs, comforting checks and a cosy rug. Extra twinkling lights at ceiling height add a bit of fairytale magic and nobody grows out of sleeping under the stars, right? On the other side of this room I’d install a bank of full height cupboards to hide all the cargo that comes with every child and also has a habit of growing with them. Mini rock stars might prefer a cabin bed or bunks and some extra spots and stripes in the form of soft furnishings would provide the X factor for me. This bedroom resides in a period home with high ceilings, classically inspired mouldings and beautiful parquet flooring. As if that isn’t enough, it’s filled with a mixture of mid-century furniture and lighting, breathtaking art and a sophisticated and restrained colour palette. For me it is the embodiment of ‘timelessness’. It will look as good in ten or twenty years time, just as it wouldn’t have looked out of place thirty years ago. It’s also impossible to tell if the owner is male of female. Another sign of simple good taste. And yet, it’s no museum piece, and has all the attributes of a comfortable and restorative bedroom. The pillows are plump and smooth. There’s an extra wool blanket to ward off winter chills. There’s a warm rug for bare feet, and the reading lights are positioned just where they are most effective. There’s even candles handy for when mood dictates. If I was to add anything, it might be a padded headboard, but then the artwork wouldn’t be centre stage. That’s another word for this room. Considered. Image credit

Make moody hues more inviting by ensuring your furniture looks super cosy. Here, ultra-soft cotton, luxurious fabrics and a plethora of blankets make this room serenely restful. Bonus points for the squidgy-looking pillows. Ahh…

Made.com founder Chloe Macintosh’s bedroom is an elegant combination of deep blue walls and oatmeal coloured stripes. For fabric with a similar feel try Romo or Le Gracieux, who both do a striped cotton with a similarly painterly feel.

I agree that these rooms are unrealistic and too perfect. I’m currently trying to re-decorate my room and none of the above were helpful in providing even the slightest inspiration. Most of them are twice the size of my room; and alot of the furniture just wouldn’t fit. If anyone has pictures of rooms that are smaller and something do-able, let me know.

Small rooms require savvy storage solutions, so here Ursula Wesselingh of Room to Bloom has avoided free-standing furniture and made use of the alcoves. The bed, drawers and shelves are painted in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Breakfast Room Green’ to unify the scheme.

In a room belonging to one of her sons, food writer Mimi Thorisson has chosen vintage furniture made of dark wood. Her son has put his own stamp on the room by proudly displaying his collection of toys and curiosities.

Give children’s rooms a grown up feel with a chic feature wall. In this scheme, a pink flock wallpaper injects instant glamour to the look. It’s teamed with a white day bed, which doubles up as a sofa – ideal for smaller schemes. Pink accents, like the rug and beanbag, mirror the wallpaper, while storage boxes are tucked under the bed, filled with toys and other bits.

A girls bedroom furniture is an essential component of the design. You can choose from a wide variety of furniture pieces that are specifically created for little girls or search for pieces that can be used when she is a teenager and adult. For example, a dresser with an attached mirror will look attractive in your daughters when she is young but will become useful as she matures into an adolescent and starts wearing makeup. Similarly a trundle bed will last for many years in a small girls room and provide an extra place for your daughter’s friends to sleep when she has slumber parties. It is also perfect for a shared girls room because it can be tucked away during the day to free up space in the room. Other small room design ideas that will save space try searching for pretty white bunk beds or a lofted bed which you can put a desk or dresser underneath. When she is older she can even put a futon underneath for a fun place to hang out with her friends.

A smattering of black stars shimmy across the walls and out the window in this modern kids’ room. It looks especially eye-catching painted on a brightly coloured backdrop. The idea also works well using animal footprints, which you can dot along the floor and over furniture.

i really like this site to get ideas for my bedroom becuase i have just moved into my new house, but the only thing is, is the rooms on the website are really big and my room as not as big as the rooms on your website so it makes it hard for me to find a room that i love and that is approriate for my size of the room. i wish my bedroom was as big as these ones so i could do one of these designes. but it is unfortunatly isnt….

Breaking away from traditional girl colors, this room has a modern vibe with its shades of orange — ranging from sherbet to pumpkin — and shocks of electric blue. Girl appeal is added with floral prints, which are graphic rather than flowery, keeping with the modern design.

This townhouse was designed for a collector and we wanted to ensure that every room particularly the bedroom remained elegant and classic while providing a backdrop for the magnificent collection of works of art and antiques. The antique carpet provided us with the initial inspiration for the colour scheme of the bedroom; we chose to echo its green tones throughout the room from the walls to details and furnishings like the cushions.

Yeah, I also got a tip, too; When trying to create to perfect living space, think about what hobbies and intrests you love, this can help you! –And also pick your favourite colour(s) to match together a harmony and

Mix in old with the new to craft a look that is as unique as your little girl. A monogrammed bedspread is a classic, but done up in magenta, it has a decidedly modern edge. Mod flower curtains contrast with vintage toile-print pillows. The curtains are hung at ceiling height to emphasize the large bold pattern of the fabric.

A good desk is a must! This will be the centre point of a girl’s teen life! From homework and study to using as a dressing table, find a desk with drawer storage for books and supplies but also for hair care, a mirror and beauty essentials. Choosing a white desk option will suit any bedroom scheme, is low cost and easy to maintain. Personal space is so important as a teen, so add her own style in accessorising a funky chair design, a bright pattern blanket and some colourful desk tidies and that’s one cool combination of a desk and dressing table design! Afraid of being too stark? To keep your small bedroom from feeling cold or void of personality, layer your whites with different textures and white-on-white patterns for drama. In the bedroom above, the simple addition of a patterned throw and chrome bedside lamps transforms the room for sterile to stylish.

wow well i really like the roonz and all but you people who dont u guyz are all haterz if ur gonna talk crap then talk crap stop sayin NO OFFENSE and if you cant afford any of the stuff sorry to say this but why u lookin on this website JUST SAYIN!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the one bedroom at the tiny Central Hotel & Café in Copenhagen, in the Vesterbro neighbourhood. The room necessarily makes use of the tiny space and even tinier windows, but the green walls with wooden accents adds plenty of interest to a potentially boxy bedroom.

Girls bedroom ideas like these cater to the modern trend and mindset of the growing girls. The neon pink accent wall looks very vibrant and attractive. The chest board gives ample place for storage. Even the side table and the grey and pink rug are instrumental in giving a smart look to the room.

My favourite minimal bedroom. A tranquil but bright space, painted floor-to ceiling in white. All the texture is in the layering of the fabrics, the crumpled linen and the tactile woollen throw. A simple bedside table holds a few bedroom essentials, with an unobtrusive light above for reading and one stunning picture is the focal point. Perfection. Image credit

I love the Scandi simplicity of this girl’s bedroom. Loft rooms are like a dream for most children – they are cosy, snug and a bit different. With this lovely white backdrop you can create a calm and uncluttered space – the mixture of white, pink and blue accessories make the room so modern. Current trends for girls’ bedrooms are veering away from the pink saturation approach of latter years, and moving towards something more creative and meaningful. You can decorate a room like this with slightly more nursery-like accessories to begin with and then up-style when your girl grows older. This can see your child through from baby, towards secondary school age – saving a fortune in decorating costs. On a final note, what’s not to love about the wonderful crepe lanterns and the cute lamb wall art?! Image Credit

We want to eventually put in sliding closet doors for her closet. We still have the original doors, but they are two doors that swing open. When we used to have them in this room, they were forever knocking into the door to the room and it was just a pain. I think sliding doors are the way to go.

THANKS for all our sharp photos of moving your 2 girls from 1 shared bedroom to 2… meaning each has her OWN BEDROOM! Like you mentioned, painting walls, decorating & new bedding for both bedrooms later. I like the look of the white IKEA dresser, so clean & simple/modern. In addition the TROFAST system from IKEA is FAB! What I really like are the “wash me!” woven basket for laundry! THANKS FOR SHARING. I’m anxious to read & view photos of future posts of your 2 girls’ bedrooms … in the next year or so? Sarah Helene in Minneapolis

Large pieces of furniture can make small rooms look cramped and even smaller. If your closet is big enough, you can avoid this problem by using it as a home for your chest or dresser. You will free up floor space, make your room appear larger and have all of your clothes in one convenient spot.

The dream bedroom for teens, black comforter with large pink flowers on it and gold stars on the wall. Where did that comforter and sham set come from?? M daughter loves it and I cannot seem to find anything similar. Beautiful room!

Everyones saying these rooms look like hospital rooms, or rooms for little kids, or adult women maybey. But there not, maybey one or two of them are, but these rooms really would be great teen rooms. For people who could afford it, and have enough money to where they don’t have to be practical. So like i said before, these rooms are really neat, just not practical, or probably not even affordable.

You are all totally missing the point of this. These are ideas for you, not things that you HAVE to do.So maybe you like the first or the second or the 24th. Maybe you don’t have the space or the money. What you could do is look for things in your room that are similar to the things in the picture. Secondly the reason the walls in some are bare are for a reason. The space on the wall if for you to hang your posters or pictures or just random stuff you like. Also if you notice how in some pictures the desk, bed, and entertainment area are like one huge piece. Perfect for small rooms. I am 13 and I am getting my room redone for my birthday and also looking for designs for my room. While I like some of these none are any I feel express myself so I won’t be choosing any designs similar to those in the pictures.

Create the illusion of a taller room by hanging curtains higher. Install rods close to the ceiling and hang long curtains that stretch all the way down to the floor. Helpful Hint: Make the windows look larger by http://www.cbs8.com/story/37622080/news a rod that is much wider than the window. Then, arrange curtains so they cover just a small bit of the window frame and a large portion of the wall on either side. Photo courtesy of Layla Palmer.

I love the fact that my bedroom is a comfy nook tucked under a pitched roof. To highlight the cosiness I have painted the pitched roof in a dark anthracite, that is ‘Down Pipe’ from Farrow & Ball. The atmosphere is meant to be calming and soothing. The overall colour scheme is moody with various hues of blue and grey. For that dash of boho style I’ve opted for a few houseplants around my bed and West African vintage indigo throw with a traditional pattern. It’s my favorite place to unwind from long and stressful days. Image credit

The color white is an expansive and practical choice for a small bedroom. It keeps the space from looking too busy or boxed in. Using white or lighter colors combats the absence of large wall space or windows to brighten up the space.

For a designer-worthy look, choose a simple color palette of three to four neutral hues and a single, bright accent color like the eye-catching pink in this chic bedroom. Add interest with a variety of bold, trendy patterns and cozy textures like cotton, faux fur, knits, etc.

I actuallly really like these rooms, there really neat. But in case you havn’t noticed alot of teen girls(or at least the ones i know), aren’t exactly up there on the money scale. i mean there not broke, but they cant go buy stuff like this for an affordable price. And usually the ones who can, well they dont use the internet for there bedroom ideas. They probably use the months top teen room magazine or somthing like that.lol I’m just saying, the girls that actually use this site for ideas probably wouldnt be able to use this stuff. Maybey a more realistic list of teen room would be better for our use. Besides real talent is making your room look amazing with a small bugdet. Being creative!

When decorating small bedrooms, every square inch is potential storage. Sure, you can stash sweater boxes under the bed, but if you boost the bed frame on blocks and add a voluminous skirt, you can hide a set of luggage under there. Place a storage ottoman under the window to hold extra bedding. Use a chest as a bedside table to gain drawer space. When it comes to organizing a small bedroom, make the most of your closet with an organizer system. And look for wall space where you can hang a bookshelf.

If you are a kind of girly girl, and you love to have your room dominated in pink, but don’t want it to look childish you can add an adult edge by having your focal wall in darker colors and then provide your room with pink stuff . That will give you the pinkish domination you want in your room, and it will not look childish at the same time, so you get the best of both worlds.

Geometric details like the striped rug and check curtains complement the adventure-inspired gallery wall. New cabinets add tons of toy storage and a bright yellow slipcover transforms an old futon from the basement.

If you have young daughters sharing a bedroom, give each a say in how that room is decorated, but be prepared to step in as the final word. Some children like to personalize their section of the room; others like to match. Just be sure that each girl has an area to store her favorite possessions, and there is enough desk space for both to do homework at the same time. This adorable space from Finnian’s Moon Interiors uses a peaceful palette of green, blue, and soft gray.

This blend of pink and purple is perfect for little girl’s bedroom colors that will grow with the child. Give the feminine shades a unique twist with thoughtful application. Pair it with soft neutrals and hints of periwinkle for a classic-meets-glam vibe. This room’s lavender walls, window treatments, and throw pillows work well for a teen, and later on it can suit a guest room. The classic furniture pieces suit either purpose, and simple switches can introduce more subdued accent colors.

We’ve already seen this design as a bed, but it’s more practical as a table lamp. This little gold carriage is the stuff fairytales are made of, and it’s definitely something girls will grow with and cherish. Via potterybarnkids.

Eventually, the sort of bed which you choose should be straightened with your individual style. If you occur to have a deep enchanting streak, you might wish to pick a canopy style bed. While canopy beds with 4 posters are amongst one of the most typical options, there likewise several various other choices available on the market also. For instance, you might want to pick a crown canopy, which does not use as much enclosure, yet still gives the hint of draping.

This art piece is very impressive, and with good reason. If you can’t find one that is already made, all you need is a frame, pearls of different sizes, a template and lots of patience. It’s worth it in the end though. source.

Banqueta de Osborne & Little.
